ABOUT TOMOKO

I’m a designer and creative leader with nearly two decades of experience creating thoughtful, human-centered work across product, brand, and digital experiences. Most recently, I was a Staff Product Designer at Airbnb in New York and San Francisco, where I led complex cross-functional initiatives and high-impact user experiences. Previously, I built multidisciplinary teams at Angi, helped create a design system at Glossier, and led work for clients at agencies including Work & Co and Huge.

Now based in Kobe, I run my own studio, collaborating with global clients and teams. My work lives at the intersection of design, culture, and connection — bridging perspectives between the U.S. and Japan while creating work that feels both strategic and deeply human.

Alongside my professional practice, I’m also an artist and mother of two boys, often drawing inspiration from the quiet, everyday moments of motherhood.
